Changing “If’s” to “When’s”

God the Father loves us unconditionally, but His promises are conditional as indicated throughout His Word.

He gives us free will, it is up to each of us to choose how we will live; whether we choose to be blessed -or cursed.
Let us choose “when” instead of “if”…

“Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God,
to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today,
that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.”
~Deut.28:1

The children of Israel had been delivered from Pharaoh’s Egypt, they witnessed, first-hand, one miracle after another,
and yet it was still necessary for the Lord to explain in detail the benefits of obedience- or the consequences of disobedience-
to this rebellious people throughout Deuteronomy 28, 29, 30 and beyond.
As an immature believer I wondered how these people could be so stiff-necked, so obtuse-that they would make such poor choices?
I soon realized that there are few differences in innate human nature, whether 4000 years ago or today.
It is a navigational fact that a plane flying 1 degree off course for 60 miles is already 1 mile off course:
“Your ears will hear a word behind you, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right or to the left.”
-Isaiah 30:21

Beloved, let us choose “when”, not “if”…
