Kooks and Fools

“We are fools for the Messiah’s sake, but you are wise in the Messiah.

We are weak, but you are strong. You are honored, but we are dishonored.”
1Cor.4:10 International Standard Division

“Kooks. Religious nuts. Fundamentalists. Gullible believers in fairy tales.
Bible thumpers. Clue-less and plan-less. Dreamers.”

If you are a born-again follower of Messiah Yeshua, an on-fire true believer in the Creator God of the entire universe, someone who takes God at His Word,  a person who believes whole heartedly in present day signs and wonders, and the knowledge that He’s not just some unknowable impersonal ethereal “higher power”,
there is a strong chance that some of these labels have been used to describe you.
We live in an empiral post-modern world, surrounded by many who do not know God as their Father and Yeshua as their Savior. Many of these are self-described as “tolerant” and “open-minded” individuals who claim to embrace diversity, and yet when it comes to considering those who are devout followers/believers in Yeshua the gates of tolerance and any attempt to understand slam shut.
“But the natural, nonspiritual man does not accept or welcome or admit into his heart the gifts, teachings, and revelations of the Spirit of God, for they are folly (meaningless nonsense) to him; and he is incapable of knowing them [of progressively recognizing, understanding, and becoming better acquainted with them] because they are spiritually discerned and estimated and appreciated.” 1 Cor. 2:14 AMP
How then should we respond?
Yeshua said that we are blessed when we are insulted for His name’s sake.
The Holy Spirit may bring a sense of discomfort to those who don’t yet know Him
and we may become “whipping boys”-objects of wrath.
We must choose to love those who hurt us, as hard as this can be at times.
We understand the spiritual invisible dynamics,
Whereas those who can only process with carnal minds simply cannot.
People, especially unbelievers who are close to us, can respond negatively,
lashing out when they simply have a lack of understanding.
Today beloved, choose to see the bigger picture, setting aside our personal hurts.
Choose love.
