Training Days

Blessed be the Lord my Rock,

Who trains my hands for war,
And my fingers for battle—
My lovingkindness and my fortress,
My high tower and my deliverer,”
– King David, Psalm 144:1-2

Why are some things in life plain difficult? Why couldn’t everything in life be resistance free, easy and smooth?
I write this at a moment when I am asking myself this very question.
I am a long time believer, a follower of Jesus ( Yeshua), so why couldn’t all the troubles of life disappear?
What do so many trials and hardships persist?
These are common questions in the lives of believers, and of course trouble free lives- the posh life– is desired by many.
But what we will learn, how can we be strengthened through this?
The truth is that we can’t. It has been said that adversity is the greatest school of character growth,
the greatest growth for relationship with God comes at the times of greatest difficulties,
when we face challenges that seem insurmountable
just as strenuous physical exercise involving great resistance is where physical strength and endurance is attained.
It is God who redeems us, who delivers us from the impossibles of life, He alone is our High Tower,
Our mighty fortress.
Whether you are in “training mode” or resting mode (in between trainings),
Remember that God purposes all things for good, so don’t give up.
Stay at it, call out on the Name above all names.
God is right here with us, beloved- it’s a promise He has always intended on keeping!
